Jason Bay introduced as Mets' new left fielder

He is the Mets' first splashy move of the offseason.ew York went 70-92 last season in its first year at expansive Citi Field.Bay, a three-time All-Star, set career highs of 36 homers and 119 RBIs for the Boston Red Sox last season. He is expected to add power to a lineup that hit only 95 home runs during an injury-wrecked season.The 31-year-old Bay will bring stability to a position that was manned mostly by Gary Sheffield and Daniel Murphy last season.
